The Chinese Language Program is open to international students from all over the wolrd who love Chinese language, have a need to learn Chinese systematically, or are interested in Chinese culture, providing them with high quality, accurate and interesting Chinese language courses.

The Chinese Language Program offers both compulsory Chinese language courses and optional Chinese culture courses.

1. The compulsory Chinese courses include: Comprehensive Chinese, Chinese Speaking, Chinese Listening, Chinese Reading, Chinese Writing, Science and Technology Chinese, Business Chinese, HSK tutoring and other basic Chinese courses, to improve students’ Chinese expression ability in all aspects. 

2. Optional Chinese culture courses include: Chinese calligraphy, paper cutting, Tai Chi, Beijing opera appreciation and face painting, Chinese painting, seal cutting, Chinese medicine introduction and experience, to help students have a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and to experience the charm of traditional art.

The duration of the long-term Chinese language program is normally one semester or one academic year, divided into three levels: elementary, intermediate and advanced. Students are to be placed in classes that suit them best by taking a Chinese proficiency test. The curriculum is 20 hours per week, 18 weeks per semester. 

The spring semester starts from late February to early July. The autumn semester starts from early September to late January. The exact dates shall be subject to on the admissions bulletins released on the college's website each semester.

Upon completion of the study period, students who meet the completion criteria will be issued a transcript and a certificate of completion.
